Adam W. Chase
It only makes sense that someone who enjoys tax law would also get a kick out of running non-stop for eight hours, competing in week-long adventure races or snowshoe racing at high altitude and in sub-zero temperatures. Raised in Boulder, Colorado, Adam W. Chase thrives on endurance sports in the mountains. He’s run the distance of a marathon or more at least 100 times, mostly on hilly trails. He ran and did triathlons during college and law school and then jumped into ultramarathons and snowshoe racing, which led to adventure racing.
Adam has won more than 20 ultramarathons, is the captain and manager of Teams Salomon and Atlas Snow-Shoe, and has been on many sponsored running and adventure racing teams. He serves as the President of the American Trail Running Association, is the co-author of “The Ultimate Guide to Trial Running,” (with Nancy Hobbs) and is a writer and/or editor for Running Times, Competitor, Triathlete and many other sports publications. He owns Boulder Field Testing, LLC, a gear testing and focus group company that operates out of Boulder, where he practices law with the firm Hutchinson, Black and Cook, LLC. Most importantly, he is the proud father of his two sons, Noah and David.
Adam has run the Gore-Tex TransRockies Run all four years, first on a winning team and finishing 2nd in his teams’ categories the last two years. Adam has worked with us on several trail running weekend camps in Estes Park, CO. He has a wonderful and engaging sense of humor and has many funny anecdotes from the trails around the world! I am delighted to have Adam on the coaching team for Running-Vacations.
